Strikers 1945 review for the Sega Saturn
Made by
this game was released in the arcade in 1995 and in 1996 it was converted for the Saturn.
What a great game this is. Flying shark on steroids. This game has a lot of style.
Six planes to choose from. Great power ups.
This game has Great music.
The gameplay is very tight.
Psikyo? what the hell happened to the Psikyo site?
I heard that the company was going to split up or something but taking the site away is straight up cold for all shooter fans. (Sure, I know it's all business).
If anybody has downloaded the complete site let me know. It has a nice database!!!!
Well anyway, this game has a full screen "vertical arcade mode".
Check the How to.. section of this site for instructions on how to succesfully rotate your monitor.
The fighters speeds

speed = 2
speed = 3
speed = 4
speed = 3
speed = 1
speed = 5
Comparing this to the sequel is difficult because how are you going to top a great game with no flaws.
The enemy sprites are generaly smaller than in part 2 and most of 'em are different.
FACT FILE
Vertical arcade mode
Yes
Unlimited continues
No
Levels
8
Aircraft
6

It looks arcade perfect. And has no slowdown instead of the Saturn version of part 2
Verdict:
Playability 10
Music 8
Lastability 9
Graphics 8,6
Overall 8,9
8,9?????? because the graphics are a little less mind-blowing than in part 2 the score of "8,9" is given instead of the solid 9 for part 2.
