Well, besides just making "static" solid props & accessories, with no moving parts, depending on the materials, I can articulate them, as well as light them up in different ways (depending on what it is) and yes, even incorporate Airsoft into them (please note that they will no longer be convention legal in most cases, and you'll have to provide me with the airgun to incorporate).
I work with wood, board, plywood, styrofoam, resin, fiberglass, paper mache techniques and other random materials, depending on the piece and your needs/ requirements. Will soon be able to cast items out of resin, foam, and possibly rubber (if you need foamy/rubber lil items like small knives, which are great for costumes that involve lots of little daggers all over the place *gives Altair the stinkeye*)
I also offer repair services should you need to have a prop fixed, and if you have a prop idea that you can't quite put down on paper, please let me know and I can work with you to get your prop realized!
Pricing
If you want something made, please Request an estimate! With the massive range of props and accessories, construction methods, special bits and such, I can't really fire out a concrete quote til I know exactly what you want. I also have to consider the amount of time it would take to make the prop, and the materials that would be required to fulfill your needs. Please note again that I am -not- third world labor, and my prices will reflect that (as well as the quality of the work)
I'll usually require between 1/4 and 1/2 of the cost of the commission as a deposit when you secure a commission to cover materials and some of the work, and the rest of the balance and shipping fees will be due when I finish. Unfortunately the deposit is -not- refundable once I start, (unless something happens on my end that prevents me from being able to complete your commission, then I'd be sure to reimburse you ASAP!)
Requesting an estimate
***Please note that if you are under 18, i cannot enter a legally binding contract with you, and you will need a parent or legal guardian to do so on your behalf!***
Please send an email titled "Prop commission inquiry" with the following information to- fevereonREMOVETHIS@gmail.com
(be sure to remove the "REMOVETHIS")
Please give me 3 days to a week to get back to you, as I need to research the best materials and brainstorm construction methods before I can give you an estimate :) Somtimes a little longer if i'm in the middle of conventions and such
More than likely, i'll be able to give you a couple options and quotes
Sending an inquiry or asking for a quote in no way obligates you to purchase a prop from me. I won't start on anything until a down payment is received.
Payment
I accept checks, money orders and PayPal
Please note that I will wait 7 business days for all personal checks to clear before starting on your item.
When placing an order through PayPal or snail mail, please include at least a minimum of information so I can connect you to your prop and process it more reliably. I need:
Your name
Your email addy and nickname
If different from the other corroespondence emails
Your return address
What prop you ordered from me
The amount of the down payment
You'll have 8 weeks after the due date you requested to send the remaining balance, or the prop is mine to sell, because its not fair to me to be left hanging.. (and it sucks eggs!). Once the balance & shipping is paid, the item will be sent out to you ASAP!
Creation of the piece
I'll tend to order what gets built when based on when you need it, not necessarily in the order that I recieve the commission, so I can get everything done when folks need it, and still have time for the busy convention schedule and other non-prop work.
Once I begin on the prop, I'll fire you an email! From there out, be sure to check the in progress section of the gallery, where I'll be posting updates as I work on your piece :)
A good rule of thumb is to check there once a week once it gets started, as updates will happen fairly frequently once things get started!
Shipping
I will ship all props with the carrier of your choice, with Delivery Confirmation & insurance which normally arrives in 2-3 days. If you want another shipping method, no insurance, etc, please let me know. Please make note that you're responsible for shipping fees , so take that into account, especially if you're getting a monstersized prop!
If your prop arrives damaged due to mishandling by the post office, please let us know ASAP so I can help!
Terms & conditions
working on this, gimme a few days!
