Fireseal cosplay sword- work in progress

First "official" prop commission.. Sol's fireseal from guilty gear! Always had a thing for this oversized zippo :)

Materials: wood,
Size: 42" approx.

Construction notes:
This is the current state of a fireseal prop commission that I'm working on.

It was a bitof a pain to come up with the intial designs because many elements of the reference images gathered were different, so this is a compilation of sorts...

Instead of doing it in fiberlass, i thought it would be better to work this project in wood. By making the blade and side bits hollow instead of using solid planks, it will drop the weight by at least 50%

Now that the sides of the blade is done, the easy part's over, and its on to building the box and striker mechanism...

A lead time of approximately 3 months is required for all prop commissions (more for complex props!), which means that props at -earliest-, can be completed for you by August 18th (08-18-2008)
