About the artist

Working in 3D has always been my true passion. I was doing dimensional works before I was drawing, and I got into actual prop making in a roundabout way about 10 years ago.. I really wanted a sword, but knew I'd cut something I'd hold dear to me off with my uneducated flailing about if I actually went and bought a real steel one. Thought "better a welt than a wound", So I made one from a piece of scrap wood, and brought it to one of my first conventions. some folks had developed an interest in it, and at the same time, I thought "why stop at katanas?"

Over the next few years, I made some wooden daggers and fantasy weapons that I took to a couple local conventions, until I made a shift back to 2D since its easier to transport to conventions and whatnot, which was happening more frequently.. but occasionally I stepped back into the woodshop to play around with an idea...

After doing the fittings and propworks for my first major cosplaying project, I remembered how fun it was to make cosplay props & weapons, and . Theres almost always something new to try and do with most every new project!
